Everyone in the ECWA is happy that Aden Chambers won the 12th
Annual Super 8 Tournament, becoming the first wrestler on the local roster to
capture that title in 10 years! Fans and wrestlers alike were also very proud of
the performances of Chase Del Monte in this years’ Super 8 Tournament as well.
Coming out of the Super 8 everyone seemed happy for the two local talents,
except for the legendary Hall of Famers, The Valedictorians. Many will remember
that Bax & Eckos, The Valedictorians put in great performances in the 2007 Super
8 Tournament.
Instead of being happy for Chambers and Del Monte, The Valedictorians did not
even congratulate the two youngsters. As a matter of fact, they were so
conceited that they would not even show up to this years’ show to root for Del
Monte and Chambers, something that all the roster was doing.
No one can deny the legendary status of The Valedictorians. After all, they
have the distinction of being the longest reigning Tag Team Champions in ECWA
history. They held those titles for over 2-1/2 years. Their place was cemented
in ECWA legend when they were inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2006. Their
status as performers in the ECWA continued to rise in the 2007 Super 8. They
seemed to be riding high, until this years’ Super 8 produced two new local
talents to excel in the famous Tournament.
Although they placed themselves in a notch higher in ECWA history in the 2008
Super 8, young Aden Chambers and Chase Del Monte were stars in the promotion
long before entering the tournament. Chase is a former Mid Atlantic Champion and
Aden is a former Heavyweight and Tag Team Champion. Both have had some of the
most exciting matches in recent ECWA history and most of all, the fans love to
watch Chase and Aden in action.
Is it really a great showing in the Super 8 that have Bax and Eckos a little
jealous of Chambers and Del Monte? Or is it that Chambers and Del Monte are so
popular with the fans and both heading toward a legendary status within the
ECWA, that they just may someday overshadow the greatness of Bax and Eckos? No
matter what the case, The Valedictorians have challenged Chambers and Del Monte
to a tag match.
On November 22, four of the best will be put to the test when past Super 8
competitors collide in what should be a tag team match for the ages. Be there to
see it unfolds! |
