ECWA Heavyweight Champion Sean Carr defends against Greek God Papadon June 4 Woodbury Heights, NJ

Main Event for Raising the Bar set; Carr vs. Papadon for ‘Big Red’

ECWA is ready to kick off the hot summer months with some even hotter wrestling action! Raising the Bar has been announced for Saturday June 4, 2016 back in Woodbury Heights, New Jersey and just like every other RTB event in the companies’ history it’s going to be RED HOT! The event has had some of the biggest main events in ECWA history since it’s inception and this year’s will only add to that legacy. It’s only fitting it’s between one of the most controversial figures in ECWA history and it’s greatest Heavyweight Champion.

The main event is for the ECWA Heavyweight Championship! Fans have clamored for it… and it was only a matter of time before ECWA management would find a way to make it happen.

On Saturday June 4 at Raising the Bar it’s the ECWA Heavyweight Champion Sean Carr takes on a legend of the company in the ‘Greek God’ Papadon! It’s been months in the making!

Carr’s ego knows no bounds! He’s constantly bragged over the microphone and via social media that no one past or present can beat him… that’s he the most dominant champion in ECWA history. Of course, when you run your mouth you’re going to attract some attention. And there was one man… just as well known for his mouth, just as well known for his unbeatable persona in the ring… that was waiting in the wings for a chance to return to the company that he helped build from the ground up when the New Era began.

Enter Papadon. The former ECWA Heavyweight Champion held the title for 560 days. And he won the 2012 Super 8 Tournament, while competing in 3 Tournament overall. Needless to say his credentials speak for themselves. He’s taken to hating Sean Carr for his cowardice and what he considers disgracing ’Big Red’ with his antics which include assaulting ECWA staff and his possible implications in various assaults by Zac Connor.

Carr and Papadon have had quite the war of words already. You could have wrote it off as two prideful men taking jabs at each other. But this year’s Super 8 Tournament turned it personal. With Carr nursing an injury, he had to bow out of the Tournament and decided to do commentary. After himself losing in the semi finals, Papadon and Carr locked eyes! It was electric!

A battle of insults flew as Papadon called Carr a coward, scared, and unworthy to be the heavyweight champion. Carr fought back saying Papadon is the past and could never lace up his boots.

After a heated exchange broken up by security, Papadon immediately asked for an opportunity to face Carr for the title. ECWA management had other plans in place. Just 2 weeks ago, ECWA returned to Delaware for Spring Scramble. A Fatal Four Way match was to determine who would face Sean Carr at Raising the Bar. Papadon took on Chris Wylde, Bobby Shields, and the aforementioned Zac Connor. A great match it turned out to be with Papadon coming out of top of former rival Chris Wylde.

So now the stage is set!

No more running… No more words…

Sean Carr is putting his ECWA Heavyweight Championship on the line against Papadon in what is surely the biggest main event in Raising the Bar history! Two forces collide!

Can Papadon win the ECWA Heavyweight Championship and start and even longer reign than before?

Or will Sean Carr back up his words and defeat the biggest star in ECWA history?
