ECWA Heavyweight Champion Sean Carr defends against Greek God Papadon June 4 Woodbury Heights, NJ

Main Event for Raising the Bar set; Carr vs. Papadon for ‘Big Red’

ECWA is ready to kick off the hot summer months with some even hotter wrestling action! Raising the Bar has been announced for Saturday June 4, 2016 back in Woodbury Heights, New Jersey and just like every other RTB event in the companies’ history it’s going to be RED HOT! The event has had some of the biggest main events in ECWA history since it’s inception and this year’s will only add to that legacy. It’s only fitting it’s between one of the most controversial figures in ECWA history and it’s greatest Heavyweight Champion.

The main event is for the ECWA Heavyweight Championship! Fans have clamored for it… and it was only a matter of time before ECWA management would find a way to make it happen.

On Saturday June 4 at Raising the Bar it’s the ECWA Heavyweight Champion Sean Carr takes on a legend of the company in the ‘Greek God’ Papadon! It’s been months in the making!

Carr’s ego knows no bounds! He’s constantly bragged over the microphone and via social media that no one past or present can beat him… that’s he the most dominant champion in ECWA history. Of course, when you run your mouth you’re going to attract some attention. And there was one man… just as well known for his mouth, just as well known for his unbeatable persona in the ring… that was waiting in the wings for a chance to return to the company that he helped build from the ground up when the New Era began.

Enter Papadon. The former ECWA Heavyweight Champion held the title for 560 days. And he won the 2012 Super 8 Tournament, while competing in 3 Tournament overall. Needless to say his credentials speak for themselves. He’s taken to hating Sean Carr for his cowardice and what he considers disgracing ’Big Red’ with his antics which include assaulting ECWA staff and his possible implications in various assaults by Zac Connor.

Carr and Papadon have had quite the war of words already. You could have wrote it off as two prideful men taking jabs at each other. But this year’s Super 8 Tournament turned it personal. With Carr nursing an injury, he had to bow out of the Tournament and decided to do commentary. After himself losing in the semi finals, Papadon and Carr locked eyes! It was electric!

A battle of insults flew as Papadon called Carr a coward, scared, and unworthy to be the heavyweight champion. Carr fought back saying Papadon is the past and could never lace up his boots.

After a heated exchange broken up by security, Papadon immediately asked for an opportunity to face Carr for the title. ECWA management had other plans in place. Just 2 weeks ago, ECWA returned to Delaware for Spring Scramble. A Fatal Four Way match was to determine who would face Sean Carr at Raising the Bar. Papadon took on Chris Wylde, Bobby Shields, and the aforementioned Zac Connor. A great match it turned out to be with Papadon coming out of top of former rival Chris Wylde.

So now the stage is set!

No more running… No more words…

Sean Carr is putting his ECWA Heavyweight Championship on the line against Papadon in what is surely the biggest main event in Raising the Bar history! Two forces collide!

Can Papadon win the ECWA Heavyweight Championship and start and even longer reign than before?

Or will Sean Carr back up his words and defeat the biggest star in ECWA history?

We find out these answers in one weeks time! Tickets available now!

The ECWA is starting to heat up for the summer! On the trails of the Super 8 Tournament, things are wide open for all the superstars of the company… opportunities abound and everyone is hungry for a taste of championship gold. ECWA management has went right to work making a statement that this year is going to be anyone’s game.

On Saturday May 21. 2016 the ECWA returns to the state of Delaware to the UAMC in New Castle… the same place where so much ECWA history has occurred already. We’ve just recently saw Sean Carr attack ECWA management and staff… we’ve seen the full formation of the PCA… and now we’ll see a MEGA main event that will have ripple effects for the Heavyweight Championship scene for the entire year! ECWA Heavyweight Champion Sean Carr has been a thorn in everyone’s side since his reign began… but to his credit he’s knocked down every hurdle management has thrown at him.  Unfortunately, Carr was recently injured. His spot in the Super 8 Tournament had to be replaced and he’ll be unable to defend his title at this event. The PCA has somehow fought their way to keeping the Mid Atlantic and Tag Team Championships.

However, ECWA officials thought it through and have decided to make this an opportunity for some of the companies biggest names. A HUGE main event has been decided! It will be a Fatal Four Way Top Contenders Match! That’s right… Sean Carr, ECWA Mid Atlantic Champion Azrieal, and the ECWA Tag Team Champions Ricky Martinez & Damian Adams have been put on notice! Any one of these four men could come to their doorstep soon enough!

The participants reads like a list of the most decorated men in ECWA history.

Former ECWA Heavyweight and Mid Atlantic Champ ‘True Talent’ Bobby Shields

Former ECWA Heavyweight and Mid Atlantic Champ ‘Heartkiller’ Chris Wylde

Former ECWA Heavyweight Champ and 2012 Super 8 Champion ‘Greek God’ Papadon

2016 Super 8 Champion Napalm Bomb

Those four men will do battle to truly call themselves a Top Contender in ECWA! Things will get wild and crazy fast as these men have a long history together. No punches will be pulled. Respect only goes so far when you have a golden opportunity like these men have in front of them right now. What will happen? Who will make their presence known?
